JOIN US, FOR AN AFTERNOON AT THE FARM TO LEARN HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR DAHLIAS DURING THE OFF SEASON. WE WILL DIG UP CLUMPS, CLEAN THEM, AND MASTER THE ART OF DIVIDING & STORING THEM FOR NEXT YEAR. YOU’LL GO HOME WITH MORE DAHLIAS FOR YOUR COLLECTION AND THE CONFIDENCE TO KEEP THEM THRIVING FOR YEARS TO COME!! WE WILL ALSO TALK ABOUT HOW TO COLLECT SEEDS.
What you’ll learn:
1. How and when to dig your tuber clumps for maximum storage life and minimum damage
2. Simple techniques for washing your tuber clumps
3. How to identify and divide healthy tubers
4. My top three favourite storage methods
5. How to collect seeds
What you’ll take home:
1. A WHOLE dahlia clump that you will divide and keep! Plus, you’ll be able to trade tubers with other participants

What you’ll need:
· Rubber boots, gloves and other weather-related clothing
· Sharp cutters
Dates: October 18 & 19
Time: 1-3 pm
Location: at our farm 3333 Highway 7 in Norwood
Limited to 10 spots in each class
This workshop is held outdoors, rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. The farm may be muddy, so consider wearing boots. We have a couple picnic tables but if you’d prefer, please feel free to bring a folding chair if you are not comfortable staying on your feet for long.
Please note that there are no refunds if you cannot make the class after registering.
If we must cancel a workshop for any reason, you will be promptly notified and refunded. We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to low participation or severe weather. Thank you for your understanding.
